As the national elections commenced today, report reaching the Early Warning Desk from Bungudu local government area of Zamfara state says that the electoral process of registration was yet to commence as at 9.15 am. INEC officials were seen distributing election materials to registration officers who will proceed to their different polling units and place of primary assignment. Reporter expressed fear of late commencement of the exercise due to the distance to some polling units. This is peculiar to most local government area in Zamfara state causing increased tensions
